Had to wait a few minutes for food, but it’s worth the wait as the food is of excellent quality. Paid for two Papadoms and got 4. Easy to order and pay online, discount too.

Ordered for the first time and waited an hour and a half for my order to be delivered. A main meal was missing when it arrived. A call to the restaurant resulted in being being verbally abused but the missing meal was sent out and received within 10 minutes. Food was ok but I won’t be ordering again due to the delivery time, missing item and poor customer service

The food is always great from the Crown, it's been my favourite takeaway for over 20 years now - but recently, there is far too much oil.
The delivery bags were soaked, there were literally puddles of oil in the paper wrapped around our curries which then soaked onto the rice wrappings too. The oil gets on kitchen surfaces which is not ready to get out.
I don't know what has happened but this has been happening for quite a while now.
It's a shame as the food is still excellent and the staff are very friendly and courteous.

First time ordered from here and am sorry to say will not be using it again .
Had Chicken Madras and it was terrible .Put it all to the bin . The chicken was very bland and the Madras sauce looked like tomatoe soup with some chilli powder thrown in to make it hot. It was aweful.. seriously never had curry like it and would not reccomend this curry shop ...thats my honest opinion.

I love Crown of India and have been a customer for over 20 years. The portions are great and the food is excellent - however, over the last couple of years there seems to have been an increase in oil. This doesn't affect the actual quality of the food, it just means that serving up is very messy. If this could be addressed it would be back to absolute perfection for me. Thanks
